Charlie is doing great at Termites Hockey. He has become such a good skater. I am really impressed. Much better than his mama could do. :)

Genna's visit!

We had a great week last week with our cousin, Genna, visiting... We played at the park, went swimming, and playing like wild children all over our house...

Charlie is losing his little boy look and starting to look SO MUCH OLDER... It makes me SAD.

The girls were walking the balance beam like the Olympic gymnasts do on TV.

Today we went to play with some friends. Mary Frances and Elizabeth had a wonderful time playing together. They are only 2 months apart. Charlie and his buddy, Andrew, had a great time riding Andrew's new motorcycle too.

Swimming Pool Days

We have really enjoyed the pool this summer. It is AMAZING the difference Charlie has made in his swimming ability since the beginning of the summer. He is fearless, and he really doing well. Mary Frances loves the pool as long as she has her floaties on. Take them off, and she gets MAD!! See below for some of the video of Charlie jumping in the deep end of the pool and swimming to the ladder. You will also see some pictures of Mary Frances floating on her back (as she likes to call it). ;)

Is it AUGUST already??

Okay... I know, I know. I have not posted in a LONG time. My sister, Eve, has really been giving me a hard time about not making any new posts. We have a had a great summer so far. We spend almost every day at the pool. Charlie and Mary Frances LOVE it. It is amazing the progress Charlie has made in swimming this summer. The beginning of the summer he didn't want to get his face wet, and now he is jumping in and picking up dive rings from the bottom of the pool. Plus, he swims like a fish now. He just needed to realize it for himself that he COULD do it. Mary Frances does really well too. She needs floaties, but she is gaining more confidence. She floats on her back (with floaties) and kicks her feet to go all over the pool. It helps me too, because they get really tired and take a good nap. Unfortunately... I get really tired too. ;)

We have also been potty training Mary Frances. She is doing great. I am about ready to give away my diaper stash... I am hesitant to write this, but we have been "accident free" now for almost a week. She even stays dry through naps and bedtime. HOORAY!!!

Beach Trip

Well, I have not posted anything in a LONG TIME... We've been pretty busy. We sold our house and moved to a new house. We love the new neighborhood and the extra space. We took a vacation to Gulf Shores with the rest of the family. It was Mary Frances's 1st beach trip, and she LOVED it. I don't think I have ever seen her enjoy anything that much.
